Qustodio has two different apps for iOS: the one you install on your child’s device and another one that you may install on your own device. This article explains how to install Qustodio on your kid’s iOS device (iPod, iPhone, or iPad).

Important
- Qustodio is compatible with iOS 11 or higher.
- Qustodio for iOS is a bit different than Qustodio for Android, Mac, and Windows. Some of the features available on Android, Mac, or Windows are not yet available for iOS. Please read these FAQs to learn more about supported features and known issues with Qustodio for iOS.
Before you start
- Make sure to remove any restrictions on the device. Go to Settings > Screentime and select Disable Screentime (on older iOS versions this option was called Restrictions).
- Make sure Safari is your default browser.
- Make sure that Javascript is activated in Safari: Settings > Safari > Advanced > Javascript.
- Make sure to uninstall any previous version of Qustodio from your device. Please find the instructions in our Help Center.

How to install Qustodio for iOS
1. Open the App Store on the iOS device you want to monitor.
2. Search for Kids App Qustodio
3. Install the Qustodio app.
4. Open Qustodio, and choose between the following:
I am new to Qustodio
5. Create a new account by entering your email address and your password.
6. Enter a name, birth year, and gender for the child you want to protect. Tap Next.
7. Choose an avatar for that child.
8. Choose a device name and tap Next.
9. Tap Grant to give permissions for this device.
10. Next, click on Enable Location
11. You will be redirected to the device's settings to allow the location services
12. Select location > Always and then navigate back to the Qustodio app
13. Tap Install iOS Profile to install the Qustodio profile on this device.
14. Allow Qustodio website to download the configuration profile
15. Tap on Close and go to settings on the device.
16. If available for your iOS version, click on Profile downloaded.
Otherwise, select Settings > General > Profile
17. Tap on the profile and the Install
18. Enter the device passcode.
19. Read the screen carefully and tap Install in the top right corner.
20. Tap Trust Remote Management.
21. Tap Done on the top right corner
22. Click the home button and open the Qustodio app to verify the MDM Profile and the VPN
23. After the MDM profile and the VPN are verified, Qustodio is successfully installed.

The device is protected and now you can set up rules from your Family Portal.

5. Open the Qustodio app, and choose the option I have an account.
6. Log in to your account by entering your email address and password.
7. Choose the child you want to monitor. Tap Next.
8. Choose a device name and tap Next.
9. Tap Grant to give permissions for this device.
10. Next, click on Enable Location
11. You will be redirected to the device's settings to allow the location services
12. Select location > Always and then navigate back to the Qustodio app
13. Tap Install iOS Profile to install the Qustodio profile on this device.
