Qustodio for Windows or Mac is not reporting web/app activity

If you have installed Qustodio for Windows or Mac, and it is not reporting web or app activity, please note that a common cause of issues with Qustodio is interference with security suites (e.g., antivirus, anti-malware, firewall), system optimization software, or other parental controls. If you’re using such a security program, try to uninstall it completely prior to re-downloading and re-installing Qustodio.

 

To reinstall Qustodio, please follow these steps:

  • Make sure that your computer system and web browser are running the latest versions.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Log in to the computer with an administrator account.
  • Make sure the device is connected to the Internet.
  • During installation, it's important that the cookies are enabled on your web browser
  • If there is any security software installed on the computer (e.g., antivirus, firewall), uninstall it completely.
  • If you use a Mac, make sure to disable Content & privacy restrictions from Apple’s Screen Time feature.

  • Download a fresh version of Qustodio from here.
  • Follow the installation steps provided.
  • Restart the computer.

Tip: To increase security, we recommend that your children's accounts on the device do not have administrator privileges.
