Qustodio for iOS helps you monitor your child’s device using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). It sends your child’s network traffic through Qustodio servers where monitoring and rules can be enforced.
Some networks (especially public ones like those of hotels, bars, restaurants, etc.) do not allow Qustodio’s VPN connection and will block all access to the internet through the VPN. If you must connect to these Wifi networks you can temporarily disable Qustodio's protection while doing so.
If you are having connectivity issues when using your home network, your Internet routers may have a firewall that interferes with Qustodio and it blocks the connection. If that's the case, the only way to unblock the internet would be opening the 500 and 4500 UDP ports on the router's firewall, used by Qustodio's VPN. We recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider before making this change.
In the meantime, to allow the connection, you can disable the WiFi on your child's device and it should switch automatically to a 3G or 4G network.
