This sometimes happens with iPhones and other iOS devices. After a Qustodio time restriction is lifted, the app icons will have shifted around. This is a quirk in Apple’s software rather than an issue with Qustodio.
That means we’ve had to come up with a little work-around app to fix the problem. It’s called App Fixer Tool and it only takes a minute to install.
Please note that this process must be done on the child's device.
First select your version of iOS:
App Fixer Tool for iOS 10 or later
Here’s how to stop your apps from getting rearranged when using Qustodio on iOS 10 newer. Using iOS 9? Click here
Step 1: Click on this link to download App Fixer.
Step 2: When the first dialogue box pops up, tap “Install”.
Step 3: In a few moments, a second dialogue box will pop up saying “Unable…”. Don’t worry, this is normal. This time: Don’t tap anything. Instead, just restart the phone by holding down the power button.
That’s it! Now, your apps should stop getting rearranged after using Qustodio.
You should see a new app with the word “Waiting…” beneath it.
Note: Because this is a little trick, App Fixer may stop working when you update your iOS version. If this happens uninstall App Fixer, then re-install it by following Steps 1-3 again.
How to uninstall App Fixer:
To uninstall App Fixer, hold down the app for a few seconds until it starts shaking. When the “X” appears, tap it to uninstall.
