How to prevent your child from using multiple accounts on Android devices

Some Android tablets and phones offer multiple user and guest mode capabilities, which could potentially be used bypass Qustodio’s protection.

Devices with Android 10 or above:

If your child’s device has this option, we recommend disabling it and blocking access to the Android Settings.

In the most recent versions of Android, you can easily find the "Users" or "Multiple users" section by navigating to the device's Settings and using the search function.

Important: the name and location of this section may vary depending on your device's manufacturer, but the search function will help you locate it quickly.

Once found, simply switch off the feature. For example:

  • On Google Pixel devices, go to Settings > System > Multiple users > toggle off “Allow multiple users”.
  • On Samsung tablets, go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Users > toggle users off.

To ensure the configuration remains secure, it’s essential to block access to the device’s Settings

You can do this by logging into Qustodio Kids, navigating to "Configure this device," and selecting "Device settings." From there, toggle on the "Protect Android Settings" option to prevent unauthorized changes.
