With Qustodio you can manage and track the location of Android and iOS devices on a map. You can find more information on how to set up and use location monitoring in this article. If you're having trouble with this feature, please read the information below for each type of device.
Qustodio’s location monitoring feature needs both GPS and an internet connection to track the location of a device. Please check that Qustodio is still installed and updated on the device and then use the checklist below to double-check if your kids' devices are set up correctly:
For iOS devices:
- Location services = ON
- Qustodio location = Always
- Airplane mode = OFF
- Low power mode = OFF
- Low data mode = OFF
Select the Always option for Qustodio Kids location on the iOS devices Settings and make sure that “Low Power Mode” and "Low Data Mode” are disabled on the device.
For Android devices:
- Location services = ON
- Qustodio location = ON
- Battery saver = OFF
- Data limit = OFF
- Airplane mode = OFF
Depending on the version of Android you’re running, select go to the child’s device Settings > Qustodio Kids and Allow only while using the app or Allow all the time for the Location permissions.
To improve location accuracy, High Accuracy Mode or Precise location needs to be on.
Please note: iOS and Android operating systems routinely send notifications to your child's device, asking if they want to continue sharing their location. Make sure your children always accept when prompted.
