How do I protect and monitor new users on my computer?

This article shows you how to protect and monitor new users on your computer (Windows and Mac OS) with your Qustodio account.

Note: It may take up to 30 minutes for new user accounts on your devices to appear in your Family Portal.

We have prepared examples of three typical configurations:

I want to protect all users of a computer with a default Qustodio protection profile.

Setting a default protection profile for all users of a device allows you to:

  • Set up protection for all users of a device at once.
  • Make sure any new users are automatically protected.

To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Go to your Parent's Dashboard at the following address: https://family.qustodio.com/

2. Enter your email and password, and click "Log In."

That's it! From now on all of your existing and future device users are protected by the default Qustodio protection profile selected. You may now go to the Rules tab of the selected profile to set up specific protection rules.

I want to set an individual Qustodio protection profile for each device user.

Setting an individual Qustodio protection profile for each user on a device will allow you to define specific rules for each of these users.

To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Go to your Parent's Dashboard at the following address: https://family.qustodio.com/

2. Enter your email and password, and click "Log In."

3. On the left-hand menu, click on the devices icon.

I want to set individual profiles to some users while protecting the rest with a default profile.

With Qustodio, you can set an individual Qustodio protection profile for one or more device users and set a unique Qustodio protection profile for all other device users.

This allows you to define specific rules for some users, while making sure that all other existing and future users are also protected.

To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Go to your Parent's Dashboard at the following address: https://family.qustodio.com/

2. Enter your email and password, and click "Log In."
