As there are different technological solutions for each operating system Qustodio can be installed on, the Lock Navigation and Lock Device features work slightly differently for each platform.
You will find these options on the Family Portal > Rules > Daily Time Limits or Restricted Times > Time’s up settings, clicking on the gear on the top right corner:
Lock Navigation
On Windows and Mac computers this means that the kid won't be able to navigate the internet on any web browser.
On Android devices the lock navigation option blocks all of the apps except for some specific apps like Calendar, Calculator, home screen, the notification bar, the recent app list and calls.
On iPhone and iPad devices block all internet connectivity, blocking all of the online apps. Apps that don't require connectivity will still be working.
Lock Device
On Windows and Mac computers this means that the kid won't be able to log in to his user account and use the computer as a Qustodio screen will prevent it.
On Android devices block all usage with a Qustodio screen. The kid will be able to activate the Panic Button and will be able to call trusted contacts and emergency
On iPhone and iPad devices this will hide all apps that are categorised as 4 years and older apps on the App Store.
Alert Me
This option will send you an alert every time the daily allowance is fully consumed on the selected profile.
