If you set Qustodio on your child’s device but you find the first activity reports you received were blank, there are some common reasons why this could happen:
- Your child has not used their device yet
- Qustodio has not been fully configured on their device
- Your child is using their device in offline mode
- Your child might have removed or tried to remove Qustodio from their device
- Your child is using an outdated version of Qustodio
- Another Parental Control or Antivirus is installed on the device
Your child has not used their device yet
The most common reason why you are not seeing any activity is usually that your child has not used their device. If you set up Qustodio on your child’s device and they have not used it yet, there is no activity to report. As soon as your child starts using their device, you’ll see activity in your daily report or weekly summary emails.
Qustodio has not been fully configured on their device
If you know that your child used their device but nothing was reported by Qustodio during this time period, something may be wrong with your configuration. The quickest way to resolve this issue is to uninstall and reinstall Qustodio on any devices where you are facing this problem. You can find detailed instructions on how to do so in our Help Center.
Your child is using their device in offline mode
If your child’s device is not connected to the Internet, no information can be sent to our server. Ensure that their device is connected via Wi-Fi or mobile data at all times so that any activity generated is listed in the activity report.
Your child might have removed or tried to remove Qustodio from their device
Another reason why you are not seeing any activity could be that your child has removed Qustodio from their device. In this case, you should have received an email alert from us letting you know. To check that Qustodio is still installed and activated on your child’s device, you will need to access your child’s device. Once you are on their device, go to Google Play Store, if it is an Android device, or App Store, if it is an iOS device. Search for Qustodio and ensure the latest version of the app is installed. If it is not the latest version, download and install it.
Your child is using an outdated version of Qustodio
Be sure to update Qustodio: older versions of the app might not be compatible with other software or your operating system. Also, newer versions contain performance improvements and bug fixes: search for Qustodio and ensure the latest version of the app is installed. If it is not the latest version, download and install it.
Another Parental Control or Antivirus is installed on the device
Running other Parental Controls or Antivirus simultaneously with Qustodio is likely to result in conflicts between the two software. Try to fully uninstall any other security app to isolate the issue.
