How do I change my email notifications

  • Updated

When you sign up to Qustodio, your account is set by default to send you a daily report for each child. These reports contain a summary of the activity recorded on all devices associated with the child’s profile. In addition to these notifications, Qustodio has other alerts available to inform parents about what is happening on their child’s devices.

Summary reports settings

If you don’t want to receive reports, or if you prefer to receive a weekly summary instead, you can easily change your settings.

1. Open your Parents’ app or log into your account at https://family.qustodio.com/
2. In the sidebar on the left-hand side, click Account

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see the Notifications menu. There are two options: Daily Email Reports and Weekly Email Summary. Use the toggles to activate the notifications that you wish to receive; blue means active and gray means disabled.

Blocked site notifications

When this option is enabled, you’ll receive an email notification each time a child attempts to visit a blocked website. You can change this alert by going to Rules > Web Filtering > Settings and sliding the toggle to the left (gray) to stop receiving emails. Leave it activated (blue) if you prefer to continue receiving email notifications.

Search alerts

When search alerts are enabled, you’ll receive an email and a push notification letting you know when your child searches for something concerning online. To enable or disable these notifications, go to Rules > Web filtering > Settings > Searches. Slide the toggle to the left to stop receiving notifications, and to the right to keep them enabled.

Time limits notifications

Whether you have configured daily time limits, restricted times schedules or both, the option to receive a notification when your child has reached their limit is enabled by default.
To change it, go to Rules > Daily Time Limits or Restricted Times and click the settings icon on the top right. Toggle the Alert Me button to enable/disable this option.

New app alert notifications

When this notification is enabled and a child uses an application for the first time, Qustodio will send you an email alert so that you can review and block it or set a limit.
