Qustodio offers you the opportunity to monitor voice activity in the games your children play, so you can stay informed and help ensure they feel safe while gaming online.
What are gaming alerts?
Qustodio’s Gaming alerts uses AI to help you stay aware of potentially concerning voice interactions that may happen while your child is playing online games.
When voice activity linked to certain topics is detected during gameplay, you’ll receive a notification in the Parents App. Each alert includes a short summary explaining what was detected and why it may need your attention.
Check supported platforms and requirements
Gaming alerts are currently available on Windows devices and support voice activity from the following platforms and games: Roblox, Steam, Fortnite and Valorant.
To use Gaming alerts, make sure that:
- Your child’s device has the latest version of the Qustodio Kids App installed and is running Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11.
- You are using the latest version of the Parents App.
Turn gaming voice alerts on or off
You can enable or disable Gaming alerts from the Parents App at any time.
To turn on Gaming alerts:
- Open the Parents App
- Go to Rules
- Tap Smart alerts
- Go Gaming and toggle on the games you want to monitor
- That’s it!
Gaming alerts will be enabled for the selected games. You can return to the Smart alerts section at any time to adjust settings or turn alerts off.
Review alerts
When an alert is triggered, you can receive a push and email notification.
Each alert appears in the Notification center and child’s Timeline in the Parents App. When you open an alert, you’ll see a summary of the type of voice activity detected and why it was flagged.
Support healthy gaming habits
Gaming alerts work best when combined with other Qustodio tools. You can use what you learn from alerts alongside game time limits, rules, and routines to help your child enjoy gaming as part of a balanced digital life.
