If your school has enabled the timeline for parents, then you’ll see your child’s activity in chronological order on your Parents App or dashboard. Your school can also customize what kind of activity appears, including the websites and apps your child has accessed, websites that have been blocked, YouTube videos, and online searches.
Websites
If enabled by your school, you’ll see the websites that your child has accessed or tried to access. They’ll be labeled with the content category that they fall under. Click on the 3 dots next to the website address and then on Visit website to check the site yourself.
Apps
If enabled by your school, you’ll see the apps that your child has accessed. If the app has 3 dots next to it, then it means that a review by one of our child safety experts is available. Click on the 3 dots and select See insights to read the review and check the app’s safety risks.
YouTube videos
If enabled by your school, you’ll see the YouTube videos that your child has accessed. Click on the video to go to YouTube and watch it yourself.
Online searches
If enabled by your school, you’ll see the search terms your child has searched for on Google, YouTube, Bing, and other search engines.
Blocked activity
If enabled by your school, you’ll see the websites that your child has tried to access that have been blocked by school. They’ll be marked as blocked and you can click on the 3 dots to visit the website yourself.
How often does the timeline update?
The information on your child’s timeline updates every 40 minutes. The timestamp on each activity is rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.
Can I see which activity occurred during school hours and which occurred outside of school hours?
If enabled by your school, your child’s first online activity of the day during school hours will have a label beneath it saying School started. Any online activity that occurs during school hours will then be marked with a blue line on its left. When school ends, you’ll see another label saying School finished.
