As there are different technological solutions for each operating system Qustodio can be installed on, the Lock Navigation and Lock Device features work slightly differently for each platform.
On your Parents App, you will find these options going to Rules → Daily Time Limits → clicking on the gear on the top right corner:
Lock Navigation
On Windows computers this means that the kid won't be able to navigate the internet on any web browser.
On Android devices, the lock navigation option blocks access to all apps by default, except for a few essential ones like the home screen, phone, calendar, calculator, and notification bar. However, you can choose additional apps to mark as Always Allowed. Learn more here.
On Apple devices: Mac, iPhone and iPad devices block all internet connectivity, blocking all of the online apps. Apps that don't require connectivity will still be working.
Lock Device
On Windows and Mac computers this means that the kid won't be able to log in to his user account and use the computer as a Qustodio screen will prevent it.
On Android devices block all usage with a Qustodio screen. Your child will be able to activate the Panic Button and will be able to call trusted contacts and emergency numbers.
On iPhone and iPad devices this will hide all apps that are categorized as 4 years and older apps on the App Store. Please note that, when the apps come back after the restriction is passed, they will appear out of the folders and in alphabetical order. If you want to keep the apps organized in a specific way we recommend using Lock Navigation instead.
Alert Me
This option will send you an alert every time the daily allowance is fully consumed on the selected profile.
