View their activity and time spent
On Android devices
If your child’s Android device is protected by Qustodio, they can open the Kids app to see their main screen. This shows:
- Daily limit and time left: How much time they have for the day.
- Time spent today: A list of the apps they’ve most recently accessed and how long they used each one.
- Your digital world: An entry point where they can explore app guides, weekly screen time, and digital well-being tips.
On iOS devices
If your child’s iOS device is protected by Qustodio, they can open the Kids App to see how much time they have for the day or if they have an active routine.
On Windows and Mac computers
If your child’s computer is protected and Qustodio is not hidden, they can click on the Q icon on their computer taskbar to check how much time they have left for the day.
Activate the panic button (only for Android)
When they open the Kids App on Android, they will be able to send an alert to their trusted contacts using the Panic button.
Receive time limit alerts:
If you set a daily time limit for your child’s device, they’ll receive a notification when they have 15 minutes left, when they have 5 minutes left, and when they’ve reached their limit.
This is available on all platforms, you can find all the details here.
They’ll also receive an alert if a scheduled screen-free routine is coming up and if you pause the internet.
Request extra time (only for iOS)
Important: this feature requires the latest versions of both your Qustodio Parents App and your child's iOS Kids App.
Your child can send you extra time requests directly from their Qustodio Kids App on iOS. This option appears 15 minutes before their daily time limit is reached and again once their devices are blocked.
Here's how to enable it and where your child will find it:
- Enable the feature: in your Parents App, go to Notifications → Settings.
- On iOS devices: your child will find the “Request extra time” button in the Qustodio Kids app. Please note that the Qustodio Kids app is only accessible before the device locks or when you are using Lock Navigation mode.
See blocker screens when they try to access blocked content
If your child tries to open a website that you’ve blocked, they’ll see a screen letting them know that they can’t access it.
If your child uses an Android device or a computer and tries to access an app you’ve blocked, they’ll also see a screen letting them know they can’t use it.
