What kind of activity can I monitor on school-issued devices?

You can monitor a range of activity from your Parents App. Please note that the types of activity you see may depend on the device settings.

Dashboard

On your child’s dashboard, you can see an overview of their device use. This includes how long they’ve spent on their device, the apps and websites they’ve visited, their online searches, and more.

Timeline

Your child’s timeline shows a detailed record of your child’s activity in chronological order. This includes:

Websites

You’ll see the websites that your child has accessed or tried to access. They’ll be labeled with the content category that they fall under. Click on the 3 dots next to the website address and then on Visit website to check the site yourself.

Apps

You’ll see the apps that your child has accessed. If the app has 3 dots next to it, then it means that a review by one of our child safety experts is available. Click on the 3 dots and select See insights to read the review and check the app’s safety risks.

YouTube videos

You’ll see the YouTube videos that your child has accessed. Click on the video to go to YouTube and watch it yourself.

Online searches

You’ll see the search terms your child has searched for on Google, YouTube, Bing, and other search engines.

Blocked activity

You’ll see the websites that your child has tried to access that have been blocked by school rules or your own rules. They’ll be marked as blocked and you can click on the 3 dots to visit the website yourself.

Activity reports

As well as being able to check your child’s activity through your Parents App, you can also receive daily and weekly activity reports straight to your email inbox. You can switch these on and off by going to your account settings in your Parents App.
